Miss South Africa Earth 2009

MISS SOUTH AFRICA EARTH 2009 : Chanel Grantham
1st Runner Up (MISS AIR) : Cherise Biagio
2nd Runner Up (MISS WATER) : Maxzell Lerm
3rd Runner Up (MISS FIRE) : Mahlatse Mkhawana

Johannesburg, SA: Miss Earth South Africa in association with Consol 2009 was crowned last Sat 06th June at Emperors Palace. The new queen 20 year-old as Chanel Grantham.

Crowd favourite, Miss Air was Cherise Biagio, Miss Water to Maxzell Lerm and Miss Fire to Mahlatse Mkhawana.

Grantham is a BSc Property Management student and will represent SA at the International Miss Earth 2009.

Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, will be held between the 4th and 24th of October, 2009 in the Philippines . At the conclusion of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry of the Philippines will crown her successor.

There were graceful 16 delegates that competed in the Miss Earth South Africa 2009 Beauty Pageant.

Miss South Africa Universe 2009

JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 15 — 24-year old Tatum Keshwar won the title of Miss South Africa 2008 during an event held in Johannesburg on December 15th.

The 1st runner-up was Anja van Zyl, and the 2nd runner-up was Buyisiwe Shongwe. Completing the Top 5 were Cara Burger and Michelle Gildenhuys.

Tatum, a professional model, was a contestant on the third season of the reality modeling competition Revlon Supermodel, which aired on SABC3 from November to December, 2007.

She stands 1.81 m tall and will represent South Africa at the Miss Universe 2009 and Miss World 2009 pageants.

Tatum has a Psychology Degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She lives with her family in Durban and loves spending time in Florida Road, Morningside because there are so many great places to eat, catch up with friends and enjoy the sunshine.

Her hobbies and interests include yoga, modelling, reading, going to the gym and the most outrageous thing she's ever done is parasailing and abseiling.

She admires Jo-Ann Strauss most of all the former Miss South Africas for her inspiring and ongoing success after having won the title of Miss South Africa.
