Miss Tanzania Earth 2009

Evelyne Almasi gained the right to represent Tanzania in the Miss Earth 2009 finals after finishing at the top slots in the recently concluded Miss Tanzania 2009 beauty pageant by Compass Communication Co. Ltd.

The event was held last night, 30th May 2009 at the Mlimani City Conference Center in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.

Evelyne from Dar-es-Salaam is a towering beauty at 180 cm and is a Law graduate.

20 candidates competed in the pageant coming from the different regions of Morogoro, Dodoma, Arusha, Mwanza and Dar Es Salaam.

Miss Earth 2009 has recently been announced to be held on 25 October 2009.

Miss Tanzania Universe 2009

DAR ES SALAAM: Newly beauty queen Iluminata James Ndiye was crowned Miss Universe Tanzania 2009 during the event held at Mlimani City Conference Center in Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday 30th May 2009.

The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Evelyne Almasi and Hidaya Maheda, respectively.

The queen beauty 1.78 m will represent the BAHAMAS at 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.

Miss Universe 2009 , the 58th Beauty Universe Pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau,Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza , from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008 , will crown her successor in the event.
