Miss England International 2009

Miss England 2008 Laura Coleman, 22 from Derby, will represent England in Miss International 2009. Laura was contestant for Miss World 2008. The 49th Miss International pageant, will be held at the Venetian Macao Resort in Macau on November 7, 2009. About 70 contestants are expected to attend the pageant. Alejandra Andreu of Spain will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Miss UK Universe 2009

Birmingham, UK : Clair Cooper from London, a beauty queen vibrant red-head, was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2009.

Clair,who 26 year-old, will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2009.

Clair said: “Since I was very young, I have always been a huge fan of the Miss Universe competition. To get the chance to actually be a part of it this year representing Great Britain is a dream come true. I have worked very hard preparing for this weekend and I’m thrilled that it has paid off.”

Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau,Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza, from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor in the event.

Also the runner-ups were 25-year-old Lydia Yhnell from Newport, and 19 year old Alize Mounter from Rhondda, Cynon, Taff.

The new Miss Universe GB was Miss Earth England 2007 and a finalist in Miss England (World) 2006.
