JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 15 — 24-year old Tatum Keshwar won the title of Miss South Africa 2008 during an event held in Johannesburg on December 15th.
The 1st runner-up was Anja van Zyl, and the 2nd runner-up was Buyisiwe Shongwe. Completing the Top 5 were Cara Burger and Michelle Gildenhuys.
Tatum, a professional model, was a contestant on the third season of the reality modeling competition Revlon Supermodel, which aired on SABC3 from November to December, 2007.
She stands 1.81 m tall and will represent South Africa at the Miss Universe 2009 and Miss World 2009 pageants.
Tatum has a Psychology Degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She lives with her family in Durban and loves spending time in Florida Road, Morningside because there are so many great places to eat, catch up with friends and enjoy the sunshine.
Her hobbies and interests include yoga, modelling, reading, going to the gym and the most outrageous thing she's ever done is parasailing and abseiling.
She admires Jo-Ann Strauss most of all the former Miss South Africas for her inspiring and ongoing success after having won the title of Miss South Africa.
